It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman "Norm" Methot, a beloved husband, devoted father, and adoring grandfather, who left this world peacefully on April 19th surrounded by his loving family.
Known for his kind heart and outgoing personality. He was always there for his family, offering a helping hand or a warm meal. He found joy in gardening, playing with his grandchildren, traveling and spending time with family and friends at Totem Pole Park in Ossipee, NH.
At the heart of Norm’s life was his unwavering love for his wife, Janet, with whom he shared 50 beautiful years of marriage. Their love was a partnership rooted in deep respect, laughter, and shared dreams - a bond that served as a shining example to their family and all who knew them.
As a father, Norman was endlessly proud of his children. He celebrated their every milestone, stood by them during challenges, and offered guidance with a gentle hand and a loving heart. His pride in their accomplishments was matched only by the joy he found in being their dad.
But perhaps the role that brought him the most delight was that of 'Grampy'. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he doted on them with boundless affection. From playing games to silly jokes to warm hugs, he made sure each moment with them was filled with love and laughter.
Norm leaves behind a legacy of kindness, connection, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him, but his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Janet; his beloved children, April Forst and her husband Scott, and Michael Methot and his wife Tabitha; and his adored grandchildren: Ally and Nicholas Methot, Lillian and Tucker Pope, Eliana and William Forst. He is predeceased by his father, Robert Methot, brother Leon Methot and his sister-in-law, Phyllis Methot. He leaves behind his mother, Marie Rose of Manchester and his sisters and brothers: Denise Methot, Muriel and Richard Allaire, Donald Methot, Diane and George Roberge, Anita and Marc Boisvert, Henry Methot, Philip Methot, extended family and many dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
