Normand R. Desrochers, 59, of 353 Calef Road, died November 4, 2002 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on April 27, 1943, the son of Romeo and Marquerite (Berthiaume) Desrochers and had been a lifelong resident of the City. He worked for Manchester Mental Health for a number of years. Prior to that, he was a shoeworker for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Theresa Church and was very active in the church, volunteering as a cook for the memorial committee and most recently was on the fall festival committee. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren bringing them hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was an avid cribbage player and belonged to the Postal Worker Cribbage League at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Family members include his wife of 40 years, Priscilla (Gionet) Desrochers; two daughters, Annette McGrath and Carol Desrochers, both of Manchester; two sons, Alan Desrochers and Kevin Desrochers, both of Manchester; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Courchesne of Hooksett, Georgette Dery and Jacqueline Roux, both of Manchester; one brother, Paul Desrschers of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:00 in St. Theresa Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
