Normand C. Hebert

October 16, 1935 — September 7, 2024

Bedford, NH

On Saturday, September 7, 2024, Normand C. Hebert passed away at Bowman Place Assisted Living in Bedford, NH.

Born on October 16, 1935, Norm graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1953. He then joined the Air National Guard and on one lucky day in 1956, he met the love of his life, Pauline Sullivan, and married her on June 6, 1958, ultimately enjoying 50 years of marriage.

Norm worked as a manager at Grand Union, but most will remember him for his 30+ years at Associated Grocers of New England in Manchester, from which he retired in 1997.

Norm and Pauline loved to travel and spent many years after retirement packing up their fifth wheeler and exploring every state in America for weeks at a time. Norm was a NASCAR fan, horologist, hunter and fisherman (in his younger days), and was an avid bird watcher. But mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Norm is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Pauline (Sullivan) Hebert; his daughter, Susan P. Johnson, who passed away on August 27, 2024; his father, Phillipe Hebert and mother, Alice (Lemay) Hebert; sister, Violet Boisvert and brother, Ronald Hebert.

He is survived by his son Steven Hebert and his husband Paul Scott; son Daniel Hebert and his wife Susan; daughter Christine Donati and her husband David; daughter Karen Hebert and her husband Richard Vachon; grandson Brian Hebert and his partner Emily DeVinney and their two children Jacob & Paxton; and granddaughter Megan Hebert and her son Thomas; as well as nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A private graveside ceremony will be held at a future date.
