Nova Crystal Hastings, 36, passed away on December 31, 2020, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, with her devoted father, Peter, by her side.
Born in Haverhill, MA, she is the daughter of Peter and June (Pinkham) Hastings. She was raised and educated in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She earned an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from McIntosh College. In high school, she played the flute in the band. Nova was drawn to the serenity of the New England seacoast. She savored the sights, sounds, and scents of the beach, and, of course, getting the perfect bronzed tan. Nova had a warm heart for all animals, especially bunnies, and enjoyed horseback riding in her younger years. She greatly loved spending time with all of her nieces and nephews. An avid sports fan, Nova played soccer in her youth and always cheered for the Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, relishing the cool breeze and uninhibited sense of freedom. She loved listening to music. Her favorite color was purple. Nova will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nova is survived by her father, Peter Hastings and wife Catherine of Loudon; mother, June Hastings of MA; sister, Holly Hastings and husband James; brother, Kyle Hastings and partner Ariel Price; nephew, Austin Weinhold; three nieces, Lily and Faith Johnston, and Bella Hastings; stepbrother Patrick Heraghty, stepsisters Caitlin Bowser and Keri-Anne Joy and extended family and friends.
