Olga S. Armen, 96, of Manchester died June 21, 2002, at Ridgewood Center Nursing Home. She was born in Trikala, Greece, on June 17, 1906, the daughter of James and Anastasia (Karamalis) Sideris and immigrated to the United State in 1909 at the age of three. She was predeceased by her husbnad Thomas in 1980 after 52 years of marriage. She grew up in Manchester, graduating from Manchester Central. After her marriage she lived in West Lebanon, NH, raised a family and worked as a bookkeeper in the family owned restaurant in White Rivber Junction. In 1963, she and her husband moved to Hampton, NH. While living in Hampton and West Lebanon her flower gardens were legendary. Following her husband's death she moved to Lyonbrook Senior Housing in New London. In 1993 she moved to assisted living in Newport for two years and the to Hillcrest Pearl Manor in Manchester, NH. While living in West Lebanon she served as a very active volunteer at the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover and was active in the Hanover Garden Club and West Lebanon Women's Club. Later she was active in the Hampton Garden Club. She is survived by a sister Joan Sideris of Manchester, a son Dr. Chris T. Armen of Lebanon, a daughter Mrs. Diana Cowles of Lincoln, MA, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several cousins. SERVICES: A calling hour will be at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH on Thursday morning from 10 to 11 o'clock with the service immediately following at 11 o'clock in the Church. Burial will be in West Lebanon, NH Cemetery at 2:45 PM. Donations may be made to the St. George Greek Orthodox Catheral Building Fund. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
