Olga A. Gauthier, 94, of Henniker, NH passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Presidential Oaks in Concord, NH. She was born in Conifer, NY on December 19, 1919; the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Mae (Minney) Doucette.
Olga was a Hinsdale, NH resident for over 25 years. She was employed as a bookkeeper for A&P grocery store in Brattleboro for many years. Olga was a wonderful person, loved by many, and remembered for her great sense of humor. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren and dog Maggie. Olga was happiest when she was at her cottage in Maine entertaining her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Archie F. Gauthier in 1990; two daughters, Diane Buraczynski and Carol Kohler; two brothers, John and Edmund Doucette and three sisters, Nellie Cushman, Helen O'Neill and Pearl Bingham.
She is survived by a son, Christopher Gauthier and his wife Susan of Henniker, NH; a brother, Joseph Doucette and his wife June of Hinsdale, NH; seven grandchildren, Julie Buraczynski, Mary Buraczynski, Stacey Byrne, John Kohler, Matthew Kohler, Anna Gauthier and Christopher Gauthier; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and two great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1 PM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 47 Walnut St., Brattleboro. Burial will be held at North Cemetery in Vernon in the spring. The KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA of Concord, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301.
