OLGA L. LEWIS
Olga Lewis, 84, of Littleton, NH, passed away on November 15, 2018, at home after a lengthy illness. A small private service was held at Pillsbury Funeral Home and she was laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery.
She was born on a farm in Greensboro, VT on the back side of Caspian Lake on July 31, 1934, the seventh child of the late Jack and Olga Gomes.
She loved her life on the farm, helping her family take care of the animals, and any other little creature that appeared to be homeless. She always believed every child should have a farm experience.
She attended the first eight grades at Greensboro Bend Grade School, which was a one-room schoolhouse, then grades nine through twelve at Greensboro High School, and later attended Johnson State College, VT. She later retired from the telephone company after thirty years of service.
Olga loved being with family, gardening, traveling, and spending the winter in Florida with her husband Charlie. Later on, she was happy to be with her family and her cat Girly-Girl.
Olga is survived by her children, Danny Lewis and Dotty Sheridan, her husband Dennis Sheridan, her granddaughter Amanda Sheridan, and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her sisters, Ola Zampieri, Ona Lanphear, and Olney Gomes, brothers Herbert, Delbert, and Albert Gomes, and husbands Clayton Lewis and Charles Bolduc.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the North Country Home Health and the Ammonoosuc Community Health Services for their help.
Contributions in Olga's memory may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue, 1517 Meadow Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
