BEDFORD – Orina “Sal” E. (Beliveau) Szerlog, 92, died Thursday, February 5, 2009, at Bedford Hills, in Bedford, NH.

Born on March 30, 1916, in Claremont, NH, she was the daughter of the late David and Phoebe (Brisson) Beliveau. She was a life long resident of Manchester, only moving to Bedford 4 ½ years ago.

Mrs. Szerlog was an electronics operator for many years and was employed at Label and RCL Companies.

Her interests include; cooking, gardening, needlepoint, and wildlife, especially bird watching. Mrs. Szerlog enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Members of her family include; her daughter, Arlene M. Bergeron, of Manchester; 1 stepson, Frank Szerlog, Jr., of Weare, NH; 3 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Szerlog, Sr. and by her daughter, Doris Roy.

A memorial gathering will be Monday, February 16, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Douglas Rickard, minister of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate the service. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Augustin Cemetery, in Manchester.

It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The Bedford Hills, c/o Solana Unit, 30 Colby Court, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mrs. Szerlog.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester.
