Oscar Dube, 91, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024. 

Born on January 9, 1933 in Jay, Maine, 1 of 8 children to the late Eugene and Nathalie (Garon) Dube.

Oscar worked in textile mills from the age of 20 to 40 years old. He then worked at Silver Brothers which eventually became White Rock, where he retired at the age of 78. After retirement, he began working at Market Basket in Manchester until the age of 88 but was always a faithful daily visitor of the store until his death. Oscar loved bowling in leagues at Queen City Bowling Alley, Lakeside Lanes, and King’s Bowling Alley all in Manchester. He then became an avid golfer, several times a week, at the Londonderry Country Club.

He is predeceased by his first wife Ruth (Carrier) Dube; his sons, Guy, Daniel, and Edward Dube; his second wife Irene (Lavigne) Dube; and 6 siblings.

Oscar is survived by his daughter Annette Dube and her wife De Ann Sparkman of Manchester; 7 beloved grandchildren; his sister Patricia Szafranowicz of Holyoke, MA; his longtime companion Jeannette Lemieux of Manchester; loving godchild Carolee Arsenault of Longmeadow, MA; and several nieces and nephews.

Oscar’s life will be celebrated with a short graveside service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester on September 6th at 11:00am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
