Oscar George Parchment, 64, of Manchester, NH died February 20, 2009 at home following a period of declining health. He was born on July 2, 1944 in Naggo Head, Jamaica, WI, the son of the late Uriah and Enid (Banton) Parchment. He was raised and educated in Jamaica, WI. Oscar was a resident of Manchester for the past 39 years. He worked as a self employed painter for many years. He loved fishing, music and sports. He was a true entertainer. He enjoyed people. Oscar could light up the heart and soul of people. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Simpson) Parchment; 2 sons, Devon Parchment of Manchester and Andrew Parchment of Toronto, Canada; 2 daughters, Patricia Parchment of Miami and Diane Parchment of Miami; 14 grandchildren; brother, Wilton Parchment of Georgia; 3 sisters, Elmay Cassie of London, England, Ethlyn Parchment of Jamaica, WI and Alda Weetom of Jamaica, WI and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Monday March 2nd from 4-8PM. His Funeral Service will be held at the Church of God, 230 Mooresville Rd, Manchester on March 3rd at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Gotha, FL on March 7th.
