Otto Witzleb, Sr., 91, of Bedford, NH, died May 11, 2004 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. He was born in Germany on March 8, 1913, the son of Hermann and Marie (Auguste) Witzleb and had been a resident of Troy, NY before moving to Bedford 18 months ago. He had worked for New York Telephone for 47 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of American and of Germania Hall. He was the widow of Elsa (Schwabb) Witzleb who died in 1981. Family members include her son, Otto Witzleb, Jr., of Forestville, CT, a daughter, Helga Cranston of Bedford; four grandchildren and one great grandchild; and his long-time companion, Ruth Williams of Cohoes, NY. A graveside committal service will take place on Friday at 1:00 PM in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Albany, NY. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Manchester, NH is in charge of arrangements.
