Pamela Proctor Cersosimo passed away peacefully on August 24th in Vernon, VT. She was bornMay 11, 1932, in Detroit Michigan to Barron and Edna (Condo) Proctor.
Pam engaged in many formal activities including the Vernon Historical Society, the Brattleboro Figure Skating Club, The Brattleboro Camera Club, the Vernon Union Church, and the Humane Society. Her passion for education followed graduation from Horace Greeley High School in Chapaqua, N.Y., to Skidmore College with a Major in History. She worked several positions at Stratton Mountain during its early years including Principal Real Estate Broker, where she first met her husband of 27 years, Anthony (Tony) Cersosimo.
Pam pursued her strong interest in Vermont History with substantial research, photography, and detailed records of her findings. A skilled photographer, she developed her own film after taking photos of family, animals, and Vermont. She enjoyed frequent participation in winter and summer sports including skating, skiing, and snow shoeing in winter with camping, hiking, tennis, golf, and swimming during warmer months. Long walks in the woods with her dog were common examples of her love for her pets that, through the years, included chickens, cows,donkeys, and sheep.
Pam had many interests, but family always came first with her belief that family is the root for all comfort, safety, and accomplishment. Her example, encouragement, and warmth have been of terrific value to many.
Pam is predeceased by her husband Tony Cersosimo, parents Barron and Edna (Condo) Proctor, and her sister Marsha Larson.
She is survived by her children Paul Hardy of Winhall VT and significant other Jennifer Campbell, Kimberlee Hardy Martin and husband Wayne of Brattleboro, VT, Steve Hardy and wife Deborah of Chesterfield, NH, Scott Hardy and significant other Kim Hart of South Londonderry, VT and Jeff Hardy and wife Ellen of Vernon VT; her three stepchildren: Frances Lietz, of California, Dominic (Butch) Cersosimo of Brattleboro, VT, and Pamela Marie Cersosimo of Montana; 25 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and her 3 pets.
Calling hours will be held Friday, September 6th from 5-7 pm at Ker Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematoriums located at 57 High St. Brattleboro, VT. A graveside burial will be held Saturday, September 7th at 11:30 am at North Cemetery in Vernon, VT. A Memorial Service will follow at The Vernon Union Church at 12:30 pm located at 2631 Fort Bridgman Rd. Vernon, VT.
