Pamela “Pam” Oakman (nee Day), passed away on November 29, 2025. Born on July 12, 1964, she grew up in Dunstable, Massachusetts, the cherished daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Day.

Pam graduated from University of Lowell and began her career in medical research before discovering her true calling in emergency services. As a paramedic, she brought compassion, courage, and steadfast dedication to every patient she served. Pam was most recently working at Bretton Woods Ski Area, where she made many friends working in an industry she loved.

A woman of grit and remarkable spirit, Pam was known for her fierce independence and stubborn determination; qualities that carried her through every challenge and adventure. She found joy in the outdoors, spending her happiest moments skiing on fresh slopes, camping under open skies, and touring internationally on her motorcycle.

Pam is survived by her only child, Vanessa Oakman; her twin brother, Peter Day, and his wife, Shannon; and her nieces, Amanda Day (Eli Thomas) and Sara Hall (Steven). She was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Elizabeth. Pam leaves behind many friends, from her childhood, sorority sisters, co-workers, fellow riders, and so many people who will remember her well.

Her legacy lives on in the strength she instilled in her family, the lives she touched through her work, and the spirit of adventure she carried wherever she went.

A celebration of Pam’s life will be held in the Spring, details to be announced at a later date.
