Patricia Annabelle Baker-Schmitt, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away surrounded by family at home in Manchester, NH on Saturday, October 10, 2020.
Tricia, as she was known, was born on December 31 in Hammond, IN. She graduated from Pinkerton high school in Derry, NH, then went on to get a Communications degree from the University of New Hampshire. She later worked for many years at McLean Communications as an event planner including the Best of New Hampshire and later helped start Fiddlehead Magazine as a sales manager.
In the 1990's Tricia participated in many of the Actorsingers productions including the Fantasticks, Damn Yankees and The King and I. It was at Actorsingers that she met her future husband Brian Schmitt. They married on January 17, 2002 in Washington, NH. Her greatest joys in life were the births of her two daughters and being their fun-loving mother.
Tricia was an avid hiker and loved the outdoors. In 2001, "Bloody Stump" (Tricia's trail name) completed the Appalachian Trail with her to-be-husband, "Mad Man." In addition to hiking the AT, she and her family hiked many of New Hampshire's trails. Trish also enjoyed biking and going to the lake or ocean with family or friends. She was famous for coming up with many crazy adventures around New Hampshire & New England or helping her daughters with sports and school.
She is survived by her husband Brian Schmitt; parents Donald & Barbara Baker; sister Stephanie Baker; daughters Adeleine Grace Schmitt and Marlaina Rose Schmitt; nephews Aidan & Evan McCommas; as well as extended family and friends.
SERVICES: A service will begin at 11:15 AM on Saturday, October 17 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH, with calling hours extending from 12:00PM - 2:00 PM.
