Patricia E. Carmichael, 72, of Penacook passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 following a period of declining health.
Patricia was born in Concord November 11, 1941, the daughter of Ernest J. and Muriel E. (Eastman) Cross. After graduating from Stevens High School in Claremont, Patricia attended Houle's Cosmetology School in Manchester. She spent 27 years of her hairdressing career at Cora West Beauty Salon and then several years with Shampoo One by Gail until she retired.
Patricia enjoyed crafting of almost any kind and took great pleasure in making one-of-a-kind birthday cakes for her loved ones. Patricia loved the beach and the water and lived for several years in Coco, FL.
She was a practical joker with a great sense of humor and she deeply enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during their many vacations at York Beach, ME.
Patricia is survived by her children, Eric Dodge of Littleton, Karen LaFond of Boscawen and her fiancée, Jay Degreenia , Jason Dodge of Penacook and Peter Dodge of Concord; her brother, Philip Cross of Grafton; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Dodge only 8 weeks ago; and also by her brother, George Cross.
An hour of gathering will take place Saturday, February 22nd, 1:00-2:00pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King Street in Boscawen. A memorial service will follow immediately in the funeral home chapel.
