LITTLETON, NH -- Patricia Holly Eastman, passed away on July 13, 2014, in Concord NH, surrounded by family, after a period of declining health.
Patricia was born March 1, 1925, to Paul R. and Frances M. (Sullivan) Holly, in Littleton, New Hampshire. She graduated from Littleton High School Class of 1942, the Katherine Gibbs School and Bradford Junior College. Patricia was a communicant of the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Littleton.
The end of WWII brought home her high school sweetheart, Winton J. Eastman and they were married on June 12, 1954. She first worked for Duke Guider at Workshop Cards before she and Wint purchased and operated the Hunkins & Eaton Insurance Agency, Littleton, for 35 years.
She was very active in her community. She was a Past President of the Littleton Hospital Auxiliary, a former member of the Littleton Budget Committee, served as a Trustee of the Littleton Public Library, a former Board member of the Weathervane Theatre, a former member and Past President of the Littleton Friday Club and a member of the Littleton Garden Club. Patricia was a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of New Hampshire and the Insurance Women of Northern New Hampshire. Patricia was also a Paul Harris Fellow through the Littleton Rotary Club.
Pat and Wint were blessed with three children; David, Holly and Gregory. Patricia's life was a gift and one that touched many, as she was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, friend, business owner and volunteer. A traveler whose heart was most at home in the North Country.
She leaves her children; David J. Eastman, Sr. and his wife Susan and their son David Jr. of Bow, New Hampshire, Holly Ann Eastman of Bedford, and Gregory C. Eastman and his wife Tonya, with children, Chandler, Quinton, and Rochelle, of Littleton. She is also survived by her sisters: Theresa (Teedee) Holly Leitner Glander of Madison, New Jersey, and Susan Holly Simmonds and her husband William, of Bloomington, Minnesota as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends from coast to coast. She was predeceased by her husband, Winton Eastman in 1993.
SERVICES âCalling hours will be held between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Pillsbury Phaneuf Funeral Home located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. A Mass of Christian Rites will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Church, Littleton with Fr. Mark Dollard as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.
