Patricia A. (Buck) Hocking, 57, of 329 Myrtle Street, Manchester, formerly of 12 Clifton Road, Bedford, died July 23, 2004 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH following a period of declining health. She was born in Bronx, NY on July 10, 1947, the daughter of the late Paul and Jean (Christopher) Buck. She was a graduate of Sparta High School, Sparta, NJ, class of 1965. She had been a resident of Bedford, NH for 26 years and had recently moved to Manchester. She was predeceased by a son, James A. Hocking. Family members include her husband of 35 years, James P. Hocking; three sons, James P. Hocking of Manchester John P. Hocking of Apollo Beach, FL and Jason P. Hocking, currently with the US Army; a granddaughter; three sisters, Geri Fox of Mt. Arlington, NJ, Cathye Christiansen of Hopatcong, NJ and Jane Wood of Allamuchy, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In Her Life: She loved to spend time with her family and her only grandchild, Anastacia and her mother-in-law, Eleanor Hocking of Blairstown, NJ. In 1988, she founded Lamplighters of Amherst, a lighting, lampshade and home accessories retail store which she and her husband successfully operated until they sold the business in September, 2002. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 229 South Main Street, Wharton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in St. Marys Church, Wharton.
