Patricia May Quinn, 85, of Manchester, NH, passed away on June 14, 2023 after a brief illness. Born on May 3, 1938 in Athol, MA, she was a daughter of the late Arlington and Rena (Lincoln) Cullen. She grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School in 1956. She moved to New Hampshire in the 1960’s and lived the remainder of her life there.
Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time at the ocean or anyplace with water and sand. She cherished the many trips she made to Disney World with her family. She attended many of her grandchildren’s’ concerts, plays, and sporting events, cheering them on from the sidelines. She enjoyed making cards for her family to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and life events. While she had her “shows” on TV, it often seemed she was more entertained by the commercials. She would ask “Have you seen the one…?” She watched the Superbowl mostly for the commercial entertainment. She had a true love of decorating for all holidays as well as seasonal additions. Her collection of seasonal and holiday décor is legendary within her family. She was “Irish to her core” and her favorite and most decorated holiday was St. Patrick’s Day. Leprechauns and shamrocks ran amok every March. During her career, she worked for Alexander’s Supermarket as well as for Hannaford in the service department for over 30 years.
Patricia is survived by her children, Darlene Tarr of Hancock, NH and Michael McCaffrey and his wife Elise of Manchester, NH; her grandchildren Paul Crocker (Orange, MA), Kelsy Fox (Hancock, NH), Samantha Fox (Sunbury, PA), Sean McCaffrey, and Madison McCaffrey (Manchester, NH) and three great-grandchildren; Jariah, Rian, and Calliope as well as extended family members. She was preceded in death by: her daughter Sherry Crocker (Deyo), her parents Arlington and Rena, and siblings Marion Smith, Barbara Klein, Marjorie Delaney, Al (Arlington) Cullen, Donald Cullen, Richard Cullen, and Roger Cullen all of the Athol/Orange Massachusetts area.
Per Patricia’s wishes, services will be held privately.
