Patrick J. Monks, 58, of 144 Fox Street, died at the Elliot Hospital on March 4, 2007. He was born in Lynn, MA on March 4, 1949, the son of Joseph P. and Barbara (Cryan) Monks and had been a Lynn resident for all of his life before moving to Manchester in 2005. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He had worked at General Electric as a machinist for 36 years, retiring in 2005. Family members include his mother of Lynn, MA; his wife of 34 years, Jeannette (LeBlanc) Monks; a son, Michael Monks of Lynn, MA; a daughter, Maryann Nicholson of Manchester; three grandchildren; two brothers, James “Mickey” Monks of NJ and Kevin Monks of NC; two sisters, Diane Bryson and Kathy Monks, both of Lynn, MA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. In His Life: He loved to fish and spend time with his three grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla and Michael. He was always accompanied by his dog “Buddy”, no matter where he went. Family and friend are asked to bring pictures and memorabilia to the gathering at the funeral home to help celebrated the life of Patrick. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM.
