Patrick A. OLeary, 65, of Hooksett, died June 14, 2006 at his residence following a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was born in Sibley, Iowa on August 20, 1940, the son of Dr. Frances and Catherine (Cullen) OLeary. A graduate of the University of Iowa, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam where he was awarded two purple hearts. He lived in Amherst, NY for most of his working life and was a long-time employee of Marine Midland Bank, now HSBC, where he was Vice President in their Human Resources Department. He retired in 2001 after 31 years of service. In His Life: He enjoyed his family above all else and delighted especially in his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fine wines and traveling. Family members include his wife of 39 years, Jane (Riester) OLeary; two daughters, Julie Muir and her husband Gavin of Manchester and Jennifer Curcio and her husband Jay of Hooksett; three beloved grandchildren; Molly Elizabeth Muir and Paige Shannon Muir both of Manchester and Olivia Jane Curcio of Hooksett; four brothers, Dr. Terry OLeary of Minneapolis, MN, Larrry OLeary of Portland, OR, Dr. Greg OLeary of Omaha, NE and Michael OLeary of San Francisco, CA; a sister, Kathleen Obal of CA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A committal service with military honors will take place on Thursday June 22, at 3:00 PM in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. A service will also be held in Buffalo, NY at a later date.
