Paul A. Cote, 94, of Bedford, NH passed away at the Community Hospice House on September 22, 2023. He was born in Nashua, NH on June 18, 1929 to the late Arthur and Margaret (Fowler) Cote. In November, Paul and his wife, Gabrielle (Bilodeau) Cote, would have celebrated 75 years of marriage.
Paul attended school in Goffstown, NH. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea during World War II. Paul lived most of his life in Goffstown, NH with his wife, Gabrielle, while raising their son and two daughters. He was an active leader in the Boy Scouts, a Past President and Life Member of the Pinardville Lions Club and served on the CMC Board of Trustees. Paul had a long career in home improvement (roofing, siding and insulation) and owned his own business, Paul A. Cote Inc. As he moved into retirement, he and Gabrielle built a home in Spring Hill, FL where they enjoyed many years of golfing, bowling, cards and dinners with many NH friends. Paul and Gabrielle spent 5 years travelling the continental US in their RV, with their last RV adventure being a trip Alaska.
Paul is survived by his wife, Gabrielle Cote; his daughters, Barbara Godbout and her husband David, and Diane Anderson and her husband Chuck; his grandchildren, Stephen Godbout and his wife Brandy, Kimberly Perozzi and her husband Timothy, Kerry Belcourt, Karen Godbout, Eric Anderson and his wife Becky, and Leigh Nault and her husband Joshua; eight wonderful great-grandchildren; and extended family members and friends. Paul was predeceased by his son, Dennis J. Cote, and his daughter-in-law, Constance Cote.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Capodilupo and the entire CMC CHF team, and also Dr. Kevin Meyer of Dartmouth, for their outstanding care and dedication during the past 5+ years. “You all made a difference in Paul’s quality of life!” The family also wants to thank Carlyle Place (Courville) in Bedford, Paul and Gabrielle’s “new home” since July. The family greatly appreciates the kindness and care shown by the entire staff at Carlyle Place.
