Paul I. Bivona, 90, of Dunbarton, formerly of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Arbors of Bedford.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, he is the son of the late Vincent and Laura (Piazza) Bivona. Raised and educated in New Jersey, he worked for the United States Postal Service as a postal carrier until retirement. Following retirement, he relocated to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Recently, Paul made New Hampshire his home to be closer to family.
An honorably discharged veteran, Paul proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
A kind and humble man, Paul was a long-time member of guns clubs and enjoyed target practice.
Paul is survived by his three sons, Jim Bivona and wife Amy of Concord, Brian Bivona and wife Eileen of Point Pleasant, NJ, and Todd Bivona and wife Samantha of West Caldwell, NJ; two daughters, Donna Bivona of Cranford, NJ and Debra Wengert and husband Jim of Hillsborough, NJ; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister Laura Tonisson of FL; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Caccava) Bivona.
ARRANGEMENTS: His Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH on Friday, November 1 at 12:30P.M.
