It is with profound sadness and much love that Paul Albert Bussiere, 67, a long time resident of Twin Mountain, NH, passed away too soon on August 27, 2023 with his beloved wife Meredith Emery Bussiere at his side.

Paul was born on March 28, 1956 in Lewiston, Maine to Joseph and Anabelle Bussiere. Paul was a graduate of Exeter High School and went on to join the Marines. In 1975, Paul was part of a multi-unit rescue operation for the S.S. Mayaguez on the island of Koh Tang.

After his time serving for the United States Military, Paul was employed by MIT Lincoln Labs and the Smithsonian, where he worked on classified military projects. At the end of his career, he was a Thermal Electrical Engineer at Celestica, Inc.

Paul’s stories of many exploits, pranks, and outdoor adventures stemmed from his love of being in the mountains with his wife, enjoying activities such as skiing, fishing, hunting, flying, hiking, cooking, and playing music. Paul’s love of politics inspired him to serve as a Selectman and as chair of the Zoning Board in Twin Mountain.

Paul was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anabelle Bussiere, and his son, Damien Bussiere.

Paul is survived by his wife of 18 years, Meredith Emery Bussiere, sisters, Celia McGuckian of Lewiston, Maine and Anita Bussiere of Tucson, Arizona, a granddaughter, grandson, and great granddaughter, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends who were like family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to organizations that Paul felt strongly about, including the Disabled American Veterans Charity (www.dav.org)  or local organizations such as the Veterans2VeteransGroup (www.veterans2veteransgroup.com), New Hampshire Fish and Game (www.nhfishandgame.com/donations.aspx) or the AlderBrook Sportsmen Association (http://alderbrooksportsmensassoc.com/).
