BEDFORD â Paul H. Cardin, 79, died on Friday, March 20, 2009, at Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester.
Mr. Cardin was born on February 21, 1930, in Nashua, NH, the son of the late Hector and Rose (Perrault) Cardin. He was a resident of Bedford for the past 7 1/2 years. Prior to this, he resided in Dublin and Keene, NH.
He graduated from Nashua High School, class of 1949. While in the service he attended Oklahoma A&M College, and upon discharge he attended and graduated from Franklin Technical Institute.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War.
Mr. Cardin was currently employed for 27 years, at High Standard, Jaffery, NH where he was a sales manager. Prior to this, he worked, for many years, as Vice President for Bailey Auto Sales in Keene.
IN HIS LIFE: Members of his family include; his wife of 56 years, June (Vassar) Cardin, of Bedford, NH; 2 sons, Douglas Cardin, of Washington, DC; David and his wife, Lydia Cardin, of Andover, MA; 2 grandchildren, Emily and Marilyn Cardin; 1 brother, Richard A. Cardin, of Nashua & Florida; 1 sister, Denise Duclos, of Bedford, NH; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Cardin was predeceased by his twins, James and Mary.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 10 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, in Bedford. Committal prayers with military honors will follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH 03101, or to NH Association For The Blind, 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH 03301, in memory of Mr. Cardin.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium.
