Paul Smokey Cole

Paul A. "Smokey" Cole, Sr., 73, of Alton Bay, NH died at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester on September 9, 2009. He was born in Boston, MA on July 1, 1936, the son of James and Lillian Cole. He resided in Charlestown and Malden for many years before moving to New Hampshire twenty years ago. He had worked for the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) for over forty years until his retirement. He was an avid coin collector and loved deep sea fishing and listening to Jazz music. He was a past member of the Elks Club in Malden and also in NH. In His Life: Family members include two sons, Paul A. Cole and his wife Lisa of Alton Bay, NH and Danny Cole of AZ; two daughters, Barbara Cole of NM and Beth Cole of Arlington, MA; a granddaughter, Shelby Lyn Cole of Alton Bay; and several other grandchildren, a brother and nephews and nieces. A memorial service is scheduled for a later date. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
