Paul B. Hayes

Paul B. Hayes, 65, of Webster, NH, passed away at Concord Hospital on August 12, 2021, after a brief and brave battle with cancer.

He was born in Boston, MA, and he grew up in the Boston metropolitan area, where he attended elementary and secondary schools. He was employed by New England Traffic Control for many years.

Paul was predeceased by his parents, Bartholomew and Maureen (née Peachey) Hayes, his beloved sister Kathleen Marchitelli and his sister-in-law Eileen Hayes. Surviving Paul are his siblings Della McGrath and her husband Marty Freiermuth, Patrick Hayes and his partner Jill Méndez, Kevin Hayes and his wife Karen Hayes, and his brother-in-law Stephen Marchitelli, as well as five nephews, a niece, his long-time partner Freda Edwards, his step-daughter Megan Smith, her husband Allen Smith Jr, and their daughter Izabella (Bella) Smith.

A beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and papa, he loved the ocean, beaches, and outdoor activities. He was especially delighted in spending time with his granddaughter Bella. Paul was also an avid reader, enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and was always available to lend a helping hand.

He was loved by so many people who will miss him and will never forget him.

There are no calling hours, but a celebration of Paul’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s memory to Payson Center for Cancer Care at Concord Hospital or Concord Hospital nurses.
