Paul Emile LaPerle, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully departed this world on December 19, 2024, completing a remarkable journey that began on June 13, 1927, in Manchester, New Hampshire. A devoted son of Hector LaPerle and Aldea Boisvert, Paul was not only defined by his roots but also by the myriad of experiences and indelible memories he created throughout his life.
Once Paul found himself working at Dobles Chevrolet, he forged a remarkable career for over 20 years where he was the sales manager in the truck division, which was a true testament to his unwavering commitment to his work. Paul also spent some time as a real estate broker, once again showcasing his passion and skills as an expert in sales and customer service. However, his profound impact transcended the boundaries of his professional life. A man of deep character, he served his country with honor in the United States Navy and Marines as a medic for four years, a role that showcased his selflessness and dedication to others.
Known for his signature hat—a charming marker of his presence—Paul was easily recognized anywhere he went. His sharp wit and playful sense of humor made him a joy to be around, always bringing laughter and light to those fortunate enough to know him. Those who interacted with him would fondly recount his sense of humor and ability to create a jovial atmosphere. His heart was as golden as it was generous, and he would graciously give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Paul had passions that reflected his nurturing spirit. He fondly remembered days caring for his Shetland show ponies, particularly Brownie and Ash, and in his later years, he found solace in tending to his garden. His homegrown tomatoes were not merely a product of his labor but a token of his affection, as he shared them generously with friends, family, and to the local soup kitchen. Paul's proudest accomplishments echoed not just through personal milestones but in his community involvement. He served as Commissioner of Sewers for the town of Goffstown, illustrating his commitment to public service. A lifelong member and treasurer of the Pinardville Athletic Club (PAC), he was often regarded as the unofficial mayor of Pinardville—an honor that reflected the respect and admiration he garnered from those around him.
He leaves behind a cherished family, including his brothers Bertrand (Sharon) LaPerle, Richard (Jane) LaPerle, and sisters Lee LeComte, Priscilla (James) Philbrook as well as nieces and nephews, including the beloved Tracey Ouellette, who provided great care and comfort to Paul in his final years. Each family member carries with them the memories of Paul’s generous spirit, laughter, and unwavering support.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Impress Healthcare and the Amedisys hospice staff for all their compassion and dedicated work.
In honor of Paul’s life and legacy, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on December 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, located at 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
In remembering Paul Emile LaPerle, we celebrate a life profoundly lived—one characterized by love, selflessness, and a profound impact on the lives of many. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he touched, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
