Paul V. Meninno

Paul V. Meninno, 60, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Community Hospice House, in Merrimack, NH surrounded by loved ones.

Paul was born on December 29, 1964, in Malden, MA, to Frank Meninno and Flora (Remick) Thompson. On June 26, 1993, he married Rhonda (Hintergardt) Meninno, and together they had two children. Unfortunately, Rhonda passed away after a courageous seven-year battle with colorectal cancer. Throughout her illness, Paul remained a devoted husband and loving father, providing unwavering care and support. In 2015, Paul found love again and married Laurie (Cunneff) Meninno on September 2, 2016. Nearly nine years later, their relationship is still described as being in the "honeymoon phase," a testament to their enduring bond.

Paul was a highly skilled master electrician with over two decades of experience wiring buildings throughout Boston alongside his stepfather, Earl Thompson. Paul and Earl shared a deep bond, forged through years of working side by side, which lasted until Earl’s passing in September of last year. In addition to running his own business, Meninno Electric, Paul dedicated 20 years to teaching Electrical Wiring at Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School. His influence extended far beyond the classroom, as countless former students would reconnect with him years later to express their gratitude for the invaluable lessons he imparted. 

Paul found his greatest joy in studying the Bible with others, drumming, jazz, camping, and spending time with his beloved wife, Laurie. Having started drumming at the age of seven, Paul honed his craft to a professional level and shared his musical talents over the years. Together with Laurie, he actively served the community by organizing food drives for End 68 Hours of Hunger and volunteering with the Diversion program at The Upper Room in Derry, NH. A devoted member of Freedom Point Church for over 30 years, Paul led a family group with Laurie and contributed his drumming skills to the church band. Known for his kindness, authenticity, and gentle spirit, Paul was a man deeply committed to his faith, his love for God, and his passion for God's word.

Paul was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in March of this year and, true to his character, immediately focused on sharing the gospel with loved ones and friends. While he aspired to set a world record for living with CJD, Paul fought bravely until his journey ended and God called him home. His family is deeply heartbroken by the rapid progression of his illness but holds dear the treasured moments they were able to share with him during his final days.

Paul is survived by his loving mother, Flora Thompson; his cherished wife, Laurie Meninno; and his two beloved children, Frankie and Anna. He is also survived by his brother, Frankie Meninno, and his three sisters: Lisa Theriault and her husband, Marc, Julie Meninno and her husband, Erich, and Laurie Dickens and her husband, James. Additionally, Paul leaves behind his stepsiblings: Julie Morin and her husband, Paul, EJ Thompson and his wife, Debra, Jeanne Paganetti and her husband, Tom, Scott Thompson and his wife, Jen, and Derek Thompson and his wife, Amy. Paul’s legacy also includes many loving nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Rhonda Dene Meninno, his stepfather Earl E. Thompson and his father, Frank Paul Meninno.

SERVICES Family and friends are warmly invited to gather and share memories with Paul’s family at the memorial gathering, which will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, located at 243 Hanover Street in Manchester, NH. Additionally, all are welcome to attend his Celebration of Life on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Orchard Christian Fellowship, 136 Pillsbury Road in Londonderry, NH.
