Paulette Davis, 76, of Manchester New Hampshire, passed away on May 23rd, 2021 at the Elliot Hospital with her two children by her side. She was a relentless warrior who overcame countless illnesses and endless odds until her final moments with those she loved the most.
Born on July 30th, 1944 to the late Rosario & Jeanette Hamel in Sherbrook Canada, Paulette will be forever proud of her Canadian heritage and deep ties to her native country. At a young age she moved to New Hampshire with her family and attended college in Manchester where she maintained her high regard for education throughout her life.
After school Paulette enjoyed many different jobs and was intimately known as a jack of all trades, but her greatest professional passion was in cosmetology, where she enjoyed many years of socializing and making people look and feel their best. Those who had the great privilege of knowing Paulette will remember her as a kind, generous, outgoing natural leader who was always thinking of others and looking out for those around her. She donated countless hours in service of various groups and organizations, and always found time to care for others in need. She enjoyed many years as a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Lions, as well as many others that are too many to name.
Paulette loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She was a natural artist with a passion for painting and crafting, a green thumbed gardener with beautiful vegetables and flower arrangements alike, and a lifelong lover of the beach and ocean. Above all else, Paulette loved being with the people she loved and cared for, as she was always planning parties and gatherings to bring people together. Even more so, Paulette loved her family immensely, as she was a true lioness queen and protector of her pride. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
Paulette has joined her husband Warren Davis; brothers Claude & Maurice Hamel and her grandson Dominik Martin in heaven. She is survived by her children, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends who will carry her memory and legacy for years to come.
A celebration of Paulette's life will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Maple Leaf Healthcare Center, who took such wonderful care of Paulette, at 198 Pearl St. Manchester, NH 03104, or to the American Cancer Society.
