PAULINE ELIZABETH (HARVEY) DEXTER

GILMAN, VT -- Pauline E. Dexter, age 73, slipped away quietly Monday, Sept. 25, after saying her goodbyes to her children and grandchildren. We believe her sisters, Theodora and Jean, were there in spirit to help her transition from this life to theirs. She will be greatly missed by her family and close friends.

Pauline was born Aug. 15, 1933, in Meredith, N.H., a daughter to Theodore and Ethlyn (Patten) Harvey. She lived most of her life in Littleton and eventually settled with her husband, Dana, in Gilman, Vt. She graduated Littleton High School in 1952 and entered the U.S. Navy, where she remained for the next four years.

Upon her discharge from the service, she married Dana and had four children, all of whom survive her. Jay Dexter and his wife, Patricia, of Dalton, NH, Jill Hicks of Knoxville, Tenn., Holly Deoss and her husband, John, and Curt Dexter and his wife, Cheryl, all of Littleton. She is survived by one brother, Joseph Harvey and his wife, Rita, of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline loved to have her grandchildren around and spent much of her later years enjoying their company. Joshua, Jared, Rick, Erica, Alexis, Sean, Robert, Keri, Courtney, Katrien and Kyle will miss her. In the last few days of her life, she was able to meet her latest great-grandson, Ian.

She always enjoyed sewing and made many beautiful quilts and other crafts for her family throughout her 73 years.

SERVICES -- Pauline will be buried next to her parents in Glenwood Cemetery on West Main Street in Littleton. There are no visiting hours.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Littleton Area, 600 St. Johnsbury Road, Littleton, NH 03561.
