Pauline (Proulx) Gauthier passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026.
Born in Manchester, NH on November 8, 1934, she was the daughter of Armand and Fabiola (Champagne) Proulx. She grew up in Hooksett and graduated from Pembroke Academy.
On November 8, 1955, Pauline married the love of her life, Lorenzo “Larry” Gauthier. They lived in Manchester for many years before moving to Goffstown, where they made their home for almost 40 years.
Pauline enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially spending time with family and friends and playing cards. She will be fondly remembered for her spirited and competitive nature at the card table. When she wasn’t playing games, she could often be found baking her favorite sweets or knitting and crocheting afghans, scarves, and baby blankets for her loved ones. Her handmade creations were thoughtful expressions of the love she shared with her family.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by several family members, including her beloved husband, Larry, in 2017, and her son-in-law, Mark Carrier, in 2015.
She leaves behind her son, Daniel Gauthier, and his wife, Cheryl; her daughter, Diane Carrier; three granddaughters, Roxanne, Courtney, and Christen; one grandson, Matthew; two great-grandsons; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Evergreen Place in Manchester for the kindness, support, and compassionate care Pauline received during the past year.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Transfiguration Church, 305 Kelley Street in Manchester, NH. A Memorial Service will follow in the church at 11:00 a.m.
