Pauline L. Lareau, born on October 23, 1949, in Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, following a brief illness. She lived a full and vibrant life, spending the majority of her years in the city where she was born, a special place that held many memories for her.
Pauline was known for her extraordinary skills as a seamstress. Over her career, she created countless garments and made significant alterations for Talbots. Her business, ZoeTrue, thrived through word of mouth thanks to her talent and dedication. Her creativity extended beyond sewing as she loved knitting and creating countless garments articles of clothing and stuffed animals for children in need. Throughout her life, Pauline's artistic spirit shined through, demonstrating her incredible ability to craft beauty out of simple materials.
She was married to her beloved husband, George Lareau, for over 30 years. Their love for each other was a testament to what a strong marriage should be, as they shared many joyful moments together. Pauline's kindness, generosity, and creative spark were complemented by her sassy and candid personality. She was never afraid to speak her mind, which endeared her to those who knew her well.
Pauline was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and attributed much of her strength and resilience to the 12-step program. Through her involvement, she not only found support but also built many important connections within her community over the years.
Pauline leaves behind her husband, George Lareau, her stepdaughter Stacy Lareau, her stepson Kenneth Lareau, siblings Richard & Judith Messier, Denise Pauquette, Philip Messier, and Linda Messier her beloved dog Toto, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish her memory.
She is preceded in death by her father, Louis Messier, her mother, Laurette Messier, and her sister, Suzanne Pearly.
