Pauline F. Nita – Manchester, NH Age 90 of Manchester, died Monday February 27th peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 16, 1915 in Manchester, NH the daughter of Albert and Frances (Zyma) Zielinski. She attended Youngsville School and Manchester Central High School. She became a devoted wife at the age of 18 to Chester A. Nita, and together they spent 41 years raising and caring for their family. She was employed by Concord Mills for over 30 years, and eventually retired from Waumbec Mills. She belonged to the Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Cathedral, where she spent 50 years as a member of the Women’s Society for the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as the Marya Konopnicka Association. Family members include her daughter Jane (Nita) and her husband George Joseph, her son Albert (Chuck) Nita and his wife Mona of Wilton. Grandchildren Greg and Lynne (Connolly) Joseph, Kim Joseph, Gary Joseph, John and Johnna (Joseph) Langella, Lynne Joseph and Dona Boardman, Bob and Anna (Nita) Johnson, Chuck and Debbie (Bessette) Nita, Jr., and Donna Nita. Great-grandchildren; Matt, Allie and Holly Joseph, Sarah and Emily Jennings, Abby and Vinny Langella, and Ryan and Jessie Johnson. 2 Brothers; Walter and Steve Zielinski. 2 Sisters; Stella Lambert of Hudson, MA and Joan Cornell of Lebanon, NH. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was pre-deceased by her husband Chester Nita, as well as brothers; John, Richard and Joseph Zielinski, and Sister Mary Leclerc, all of whom she loved dearly. In Her Life: She enjoyed baking, reading, writing letters, tatting and current events. Her greatest joy in life was being a part of her family’s endeavors; whether it was sports, plays, recitals, graduations, weddings or barbeques…she attended them all. She loved to sit and talk for hours about her family memories. She will always be remembered as “Big” to all of us who were fortunate enough to have had her touch our hearts. “My Cie Kocham Babci”. Calling hours are Wednesday March 1st from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematory 243 Hanover Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 2nd at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Polish National Cathedral 166 Pearl Street Manchester. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Goffstown.
