Pauline Paradis, aged 81, passed away on June 19, 2026 with family by her side.
Born and raised in the Manchester, NH area, Pauline was one of ten children born to the late Ernest and Bernadette ("Ernie and Bernie") Lortie. Growing up in a large family with only one bathroom meant a childhood filled with noise, laughter, and a total lack of privacy.
Pauline married Richard Paradis in 1964 and moved to East Hartford, Connecticut. There she raised her three children: Scott (Tracy), John, and Nathan (Karen) — it was a poorly kept secret that ███████ was always her favorite.
In addition to raising the three boys Pauline also worked some personally fulfilling jobs such as a teacher’s aid for preparing mentally challenged youth to live on their own and being the long serving secretary at St Mary’s Church.
After raising the kids Pauline moved back to the Southern NH area and, along with siblings, helped caretake for her aging parents.
In addition to her three boys, Pauline is also survived by her siblings: sisters Lucille (Tony) Erickson, Connie Plourde, Elaine Hambleton, Peggy (Dave) Theriault, and Denise Reed; and brothers Richard (Evie) Lortie, Dennis (Jane) Lortie, and Brian (Jody) Exley. She was predeceased by her beloved parents and her brother, Ricky (Mary) Exley.
She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren which she adored all equally.
