Pauline T. ''Polly'' Popek, 60, of 15 Evening Star Lane, Bedford, died February 5, 2001, at the Elliot Hospital. She was born in Manchester, NH on December 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Andrew and Yvette (Michaud) Toutain and resided 30 years in Nottingham, NH and the past two years in Bedford. She is the widow of Joseph Frank Popek who died in 1988. For over 30 years Ms. Popek was a member of the Intervale Country Club serving in such capacities as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President and President of the Women's Association. Ms. Popek recently retired in August from NH College after 25 years of employment. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford. She is survived by her loving companion Denis J. O'Sullivan, Jr., of Bedford with whom she resided with for eight years, her daughter Jodi Popek Naffah, son-in-law Wayne and grandson Christopher Michael Popek, and also by her son Jeffrey James Popek, daughter-in-law Christine and grandchildrens, Nicholas and Kendra Popek, her brother, David Toutain of New York, her sister, Muriel Sullivan of Nashua, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Elizabeth Seton Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
