Pauline C. Lemay Roy, age 96, died September 27, 2025 at Langdon Place of Nashua, under Brookhaven Hospice Care. She was born on September 16, 1929 in Weedon, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Omer Lemay and Marie Ange Phaneuf Lemay. She was 1 of 8 children.
She was the wife of Samuel Roy. They were married on October 2, 1948 in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
She is predeceased by her daughters, Ghislaine Paradis and Suzette Dudley, and her son Mario Roy. She is survived by her daughters Micheline Coloccia (married to Rick) and Henrietta Poirier, sons Julien Roy (married to Lorna), John Roy (married to Olga) and Yvon Roy (married to Lisa), 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
What mom loved most was her independence and her family. Alzheimer’s robbed her of her independence, but it forgot to tell her. She was fearless, strong, and independent to the end.
Rest in peace mom and know that you were well loved. Life didn’t always unfold neatly or without pain, but you thought us to be resilient and to have faith in our ability to move through life gracefully no matter the challenges.
