FRANCONIA, NH -- Peter C. Poplawski, age 79, passed away on May 4th in the Lafayette Health Care Facility in Franconia NH.
Peter was born in Hartford CT on July 9, 1926, a son of Joseph and Frances (Boryszewska) Poplawski. He was raised and educated in Hartford CT.
He was honorably discharged from the United States Army and was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, in Springfield, MA Chapter 68.
Peter was an avid gun collector and had memberships at the East Windsor Sportsman Club in Broadbrook, CT and the Agawam Revolver Club in Agawam, MA. He formerly owned and operated Millie and Petes Pizza Shoppe in Enfield CT Scitio section.
Survivors include a son, Rick of Bethlehem, NH; a daughter, Sheila Belisle of Lunenburg, VT; a brother, Chester Poplawski of Martinsburg, WV; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren .
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at the Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield CT on Tuesday May 9th at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Ernest Wilkins officiating.
