LITTLETON, NH -- Philippe M. Girouard, 83, passed away unexpectedly of a short illness on February 25, 2005, at the Littleton Regional Hospital.

Philippe was born the son of Amedee and Anna (Boulet) Girouard on March 6, 1921 in St. Malo, Quebec, Canada.

Philippe was a lumberjack prior to being a supervisor for the Henshels Shoe Company from 1965 to 1983. He was a member of the Littleton Elks Club as well as a parishioner of the St. Rose of Lima Church since 1958.

Surviving family members include three sons, Gilles and Gail Girouard of Littleton, NH, Guy and Pauline Girouard of Hudson, NH, and Claude and Jeannette Girouard of Nashua, NH; one daughter, Diane and Ed Richey of Whitefield, NH; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cecile Maclure and Maryjane Marion; and four brothers, Arsen Girouard, Raymond Girouard, Albini Girouard, and Rene Girouard. His wife, Rita Girouard, his son, Yvon Girouard, one sister, and one brother, predeceased Philippe.

SERVICES  The family will receive friends on Monday, February 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Rose of Lima Church on Tuesday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. John Fleming as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
