Phyllis Kay (Glaze) Aaron , 74, of North Walpole, NH, passed away Monday on January 23, 2023.
Phyllis was born on April 8, 1948, in Petersburg, West Virginia to the late James and Helen Elinor (Sites) Glaze. At the age of twelve, Phyllis and her family relocated to New Jersey to be closer to her extended family. In 1966 she graduated from Battin High in Elizabeth, NJ. While going to high school, she worked at a local dry cleaners where she met her soon to be husband John W.F. Aaron. The two fell in love and were married on December 29, 1967 in Elizabeth N.J. Phyllis and John moved to Vermont in 1973.
Many will fondly remember Phyllis from her days working at the Chroma Technology Corporation in Rockingham, VT where she worked as a quality control specialist for 25 years. Phyllis was a woman of many passions. She loved to travel both domestically and internationally. Her favorite trips included Israel, Italy, Scotland, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Greece and South America. When not traveling she was crafting. She loved to sew, upholster furniture, scrapbook, crocheting, photography, drawing and painting. She also enjoyed her second family at the Jamaica Congregational Church in Jamaica Vermont where she sung on the choir. Above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Phyllis is survived and will be missed by her husband John W. F. Aaron, Daughter Cheryl D. Aaron, one sister Cindy (Glaze) Heyman & Marc Heyman (husband) and two brothers; Steven Glaze & Wanda Glaze (wife) & Christopher Glaze & Tammy Cash (wife), as well as nieces and nephews Keely Heyman, Bobby Glaze, Michael Glaze, Caitlin Glaze & Alex Glaze.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Phyllis’s name to Crazy Horse Memorial (https://www.crazyhorsememorial.org) or Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary (https://www.wildmustangs.com/). A private graveside service will be held in her home state of West Virginia.
