It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Magarian, who passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024.
Those who met Phyllis knew her as a true spark of life. With a dimpled smile that could light up any room, she brought infectious energy and warmth wherever she went.
Phyllis was deeply dedicated to her profession as a nurse, spending many years at Elliott Hospital. Her vibrant personality and sharp sense of humor made her a favorite among patients and colleagues. She had a remarkable ability to brighten even the toughest days.
Outside of her almost 30 years as a Registered Nurse, Phyllis often said her greatest accomplishment was her family. In 1975, she met her husband, Jay, at the Red Onion in Manchester, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. She was the proud mother of two children, Andrew and Robyn. As “Mimi” to her grandsons Liam and Benjamin, Phyllis created many memories filled with laughter and affection. She was also lovingly known as “Bis” and “Auntie Phyl” by her nieces, who cherished her dearly.
Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband, Jay Magarian; her children, Andrew Magarian and Robyn (Mark) Outcalt; her grandsons, Liam and Benjamin Outcalt; her sisters, Kathy (Mark) Reel and Ann Sheppard; and her many nieces.
Phyllis will be remembered for her warmth, joy, and the compassion she shared with others. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
