Phyllis A. McCaugherty (Foley)

Phyllis A. (Foley) McCaugherty, 62, of Auburn, passed away on Thursday, December 8^th, 2022. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on November 16^th, 1960, she was the daughter of Joan M. (Walsh) Foley and the late Philip F. Foley.

Phyllis graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1978. After high school Phyllis married the love of her life, John McCaugherty, whom she shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with. While John was in the military Phyllis attended various colleges while moving to different duties with John. She attended Salisbury State College, Bridgewater State, and Cape Cod Community College. After college Phyllis became a nursing assistant and worked for health agencies between Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, cooking, and doing puzzle books. She also adored her 2 beloved golden retrievers, Quigley, and Yogi. While John was on active duty, they moved many times and were able to visit many places. They have lived in Londonderry, NH, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Delaware, Derry, NH, and finally Auburn, NH where they purchased their forever home. Phyllis and John also partook in many pilgrimages to various locations including Fatima, Portugal, Birmingham, Alabama, Ireland, and Quebec.

Phyllis is predeceased by her brother, Tom Foley.

She is survived by her husband; John McCaugherty, her mother; Joan M. (Walsh) Foley, her brothers; Timothy Foley, Michael Foley, Daniel Foley, and her sister; Judy (Foley) O’Neil.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, December 14^th, 2022, at 11AM at St. Peters Catholic Church. Immediately following will be a Memorial Gathering, and Luncheon from 12pm-2pm at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH. The Cemetery Committal will be on Thursday, December 15^th, 2022, at 11AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway Boscawen, NH 03303.
