It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pierrette Marie Poirier Clermont, age 75, of Lincoln, New Hampshire. She peacefully passed away at home after a long battle with Alzhemier’s on Monday, March 10, at 11:30 AM, surrounded by her loving family. Pierrette was born on June 4, 1949, in Lowell, Massachusetts, and was the beloved wife of Ronald Clermont of Lincoln, NH. They married on June 6, 1970, in Lowell, before relocating to Lincoln to raise their family.
Pierrette played an integral role in the Clermont family business, beginning with her work at the Beacon Resort. Her various jobs included running the Beacon North front desk to being a tour guide along while caring for her four young children. In 1986, Pierrette and Ronnie purchased the Chalet Restaurant, continuing their dedication to the family business.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Pierrette’s life was deeply enriched by her commitment to her local church and her love for travel. She was passionate about being involved in her children’s school and sports activities. Pierrette’s strong faith guided her life; she was an active participant in church life, from singing in the chorus to serving on the Pastoral Council. Known for her kindness, generosity, and warmth, she demonstrated unwavering strength and a deep commitment to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ron, her four children, Colette Shamberger and spouse Eric, Renee Blood and spouse Jason, Charlie Clermont and Trinity Mitchell, and Christopher Clermont and spouse Tammi; her grandchildren, Samantha and Taylor Shamberger, Dylan and Brianna Blood, Cameron, Kiley and Kaitlyn Clermont, and Madeline, Aidan, Aspen and Caleb Clermont. She is also survived by her sister, Claudette Poirer Kelly and spouse Roland.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, at 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph’s Church in Lincoln, NH. As an alternative to flowers, if you would like, the family suggests donations be made in Pierrette’s honor to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at https://alzfdn.org/donate/.
Pierrette will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
