Priscilla (Fellows) Carpenter of Manchester, NH passed away on August 30, 2025.
Born in Dover, NH she was the daughter of the late Carroll E. and Ruth (Kane) Fellows and grew up in Dover, NH as one of seven sisters.
She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Carpenter, to whom she was married for 51 years, and the devoted mother of Raymond Fellows Carpenter and his partner, Beth Evans of Meredith, NH. In addition to her son, Priscilla is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her sisters; Velma Richards, Ellen Pinkham, Genevieve Taylor, Eulalie Cogswell, Ione Cogswell and Marilyn Coffey.
Priscilla graduated from Dover High School. She had the opportunity to travel with her husband, Ray, who was serving in the military, and was fortunate to have lived for several years in Heidelberg, Paris and Versailles in the 1950’s.
She worked at several local employers including West High School, Moreau’s Hardware Store and Bee Bee Shoe Company. While at West High School, she was honored to receive the NH Secretary of the Year Award presented by Notre Dame College and WGIR.
Priscilla was a longtime active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Manchester, NH, where she was a member of the Elizabeth Circle and served on various committees. She was a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary and served as a volunteer at Elliot Hospital. Family, friends and fellow church members were the joy of Priscilla’s life.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, 11:00 am at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 335 Smyth Road, in Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Manchester NH.
