Rachel Archambault, 90, of Manchester, NH died April 22, 2008 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown following a period of declining health. She was born on December 22, 1917 in Manchester, NH the daughter of the late Alberic and Georgianna Provencher. She was educated in the Manchester School system. She was a lifelong resident of the Manchester area. She worked at Dorson Fleiher Shoe in Manchester. She loved hair styling which she did from her home over the years. She was an excellent seamstress as well. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family. Rachel was involved with the Auxiliary of the VFW, American Legion, CWV and the Knights of Columbus. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Celine LeBlanc of Spartanburg, SC and Cecilia Anderson of Manchester; 7 great grandchildren, Kristopher, Kaitlyn, Kale, Brian, Shania, Alyssa and Rhianna and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Archambault who died August 22, 2001 and her daughter, Doris Forest who died January 11, 2006. Her Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Friday from 9 to 10:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, Manchester. Interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
