Rachel L. (Marcoux) Bernier Manchester, NH Age 87 of Manchester, died Friday January 27th surrounded by many of her beloved family at Villa Crest Nursing Home, following a long illness. She was born on September 9, 1918 in Thetford Mines, PQ, Canada the daughter of Jean and Sophie (LePine) Marcoux. She moved to the Manchester area in 1932 and worked for Pandora Industries for many years, until her retirement in 1981. She was cherished by her family during her retirement years and especially enjoyed her time spent with her children and grandchildren. Rachel was also an avid Red Sox fan who enjoyed playing bingo and going bowling. She was a long time member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Hooksett, NH. She is survived by four sons; John Smith and his wife Terri of Bedford, James Smith and his wife Barbara of Barrington, Richard Smith and his wife Sharon of Coventry, RI and Roger F. Bernier and his wife Pamela of Merrimack. Three daughters; Rachel Paro and her husband Steve of Enfield, Mary Smith of Manchester and Theresa Bournival and her husband Kevin also of Manchester. 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive her. She was pre-deceased by her husbands, James W. Smith and Roger E. Bernier. Calling hours are Monday January 30th from 5-9 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematory 243 Hanover Street Manchester. Funeral Services are Tuesday January 31st at 11:00AM, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.
