Rachel A. Lafond

RACHEL A. LAFOND Rachel Allard (Bessette) Lafond, 95, of Manchester, NH, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Elliot Hospital, in Manchester. Born on November 12, 1912, in Magog, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Rose (Gaudreau) Bessette. She was a resident of Manchester, for most of her life. Mrs. Lafond loved to dance and loved to laugh. Members of her family include; her sister, Jacqueline Dickson, of Manchester, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lafond was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Allard and by her second husband, Al Lafond. IN HER LIFE: Mrs. Lafond was predeceased by her brother, Maurice Bessette. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 19, 10 AM at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont Street, in Manchester. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to St. Theresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 519 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104, in memory of Mrs. Lafond.
