Ralph Robert DeAngelis

Ralph R. DeAngelis, of Bedford, died at Catholic Medical Center on March 23, 2010. He was born in Boston, MA, the son of Emilio and Blanche (LaTrella) DeAngelis and was raised in Roslindale, MA. He attended Northeastern University and was a World War II Marine Corps Veteran. He was an advanced marketing specialist in the insurance industry for over forty years until his retirement in 1994. He was a past member of the Skating Club of Boston and former President of the Commonwealth Skating Club in Weymouth, MA. He loved cross country skiing, boating, fishing, hunting and all kinds of sports as well as traveling and dancing. He loved going to his summer home in Wolfeboro for over 40 years. He was a life member of the American Legion, Post 18 in Wolfeboro and also the Disabled American Veterans, the NRA and the Life Underwriters Association. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford and a member of the League of One Thousand Men of Precious Blood Monastery. In His Life: Family members include his wife of 63 years, Margaret (Russell) DeAngelis; a daughter, Robyn Fallon of Bedford; two sons, Michael R. DeAngelis of Bristol and Stephen R. DeAngelis of Pembroke; five grandchildren, Jonathan Reed Fallon of Hollywood, CA, with whom he had a father-like bond, Marcel DeAngelis, Matthew DeAngelis, Rebecca Ann DeAngelis and Rena DeAngelis, all of NH; and a sister, Gloria DeAngelis of Canton, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church. Burial with military honors will follow on Friday at 2:00 PM in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03103. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
