RALPH HARRIS
LITTLETON, NH -- Ralph Harris, 89, passed away peacefully on April 19th at Riverglen House of Littleton, where he resided for the last two years.
Ralph was born May 16, 1925 in Littleton, to the late Herbert and Bernice (Balch) Harris. He was the youngest of five boys.
Ralph was an avid golfer, and took many golfing trips with his late wife, Marguerite Harris. He also enjoyed hunting and camping. Ralph spent many hours lovingly tending his flowers.
Ralph was the founder and original owner of Harris Energy. He began his oil business in1977, after retiring from a long career driving tractor trailers for the A&P. He retired again in 2006 after selling the oil business.
He served in the Marine Corps, joining at age 16 in 1941. Ralph also later served in the National Guard.
Ralph was predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn Harris Dovholuk, and his second wife, Marguerite Tann Harris.
Ralph is survived by a son Scott (and his wife Deborah) Harris of Nashua and Littleton, NH; a daughter Diane Tally (and her husband Robert) Parker of Raymond, Maine; and a stepson Jason (and his wife Susan) Tann of Woodsville, NH. He has four grandchildren (Kerri, Kate, Kristin and Shawn) and four great-grandchildren (Sam, Luke, Paige and Brianna).
Ralph's favorite expression was that he "always has and always will do it MY way."
SERVICES â Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 23rd from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Phaneuf Funeral Home located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
