Raoul E. Chauvin

Raoul E. Chauvin, 86, of 52 Plummer Street, died February 8, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Canada on January 14, 1918, the son of Joseph and Rose (Lavigne) Chauvin and had been a Manchester resident for most of his life. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a machinist for Leighton Machine Company for eighteen years. Family members include his wife of 58 years, Helena (Jacques) Chauvin; a son, Technical Sergeant Robert Chauvin of Barstow, CA; a daughter, Pauline Therrien of Auburn; a brother, Leo Paul Chauvin of Manchester; two sisters, Anita Dupont of Goffstown and Sr. Denise Chauvin, PM of Taunton, MA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:00 in the Parish of the Transfiguration. After cremation, urn burial will take place in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Unit 501, Bedford, NH 03110.
