Raymond G. Boisvert, 92, of Bedford, NH passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
He was born on December 7, 1932, in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Albert and Clarida (Bourassa) Boisvert.
Mr. Boisvert was a veteran and served in the United States Army during the Korean War, where he proudly became a member of the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team, “RAKKASANS” paratroopers unit from 1950 – 1953. Army Sergeant Raymond Boisvert served with distinction embodying the valor and resilience that defined this elite Airborne Unit.
Following his military service, Raymond returned home and worked for several years in the family business, Kelley Street Garage.
Prior to retirement, he worked for the United States Post Office as an automotive mechanic.
Members of his family include; his son, Roger Boisvert, of Merrimack, NH; two daughters, Nancy Stone, of Greer, SC; Elaine Peterson and her husband, John, of Ocala, FL; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Marie B.R. (Bourget) Boisvert, who passed away on March 12, 2024.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, 10:30 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, 11 AM at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Highway, in Boscawen, NH.
